Knee Pain Physiotherapy
Knee pain physiotherapy
Physiotherapy for knee pain associated with osteoarthritis, injury, overuse and reduced mobility — in clinic or at home.
Knee pain can limit walking, stairs, getting up from a chair and sport. Common causes include knee osteoarthritis, pain around the kneecap, ligament and meniscus injuries, and tendon overload.
Strengthening and education are central to managing most knee conditions. Our aim is to help you understand your knee, reduce flare-ups and build the strength and confidence to stay active.
Bulk billing at our clinics
Eligible Medicare patients referred under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) can be bulk billed at our Jesmond, Yagoona and Parramatta clinics.
Conditions we commonly see
Including:
- Knee osteoarthritis
- Pain around the kneecap (patellofemoral pain)
- Ligament sprains and meniscus injuries
- Patellar tendon pain
- Knee pain after a fall
- Rehabilitation before and after knee replacement
Assessment
We assess knee movement, swelling, strength through the hip and leg, balance and how you walk, climb stairs and squat. If an injury suggests structural damage that may need imaging or a surgical opinion, we'll discuss referral with your GP.
Rehabilitation
Programs typically combine progressive strengthening, movement retraining, load management and practical advice on activity. For knee osteoarthritis, exercise and education are recommended first-line treatments in clinical guidelines, and may help reduce pain and improve function for many people.
